LIVE Elk Hunting Q&A

Last week, I had the http://www.viagrabelgiquefr.com/ opportunity to take over the MTN OPS Facebook page, and host a LIVE Elk Hunting Q&A. It was awesome, and there was great engagement and participation, along with some GREAT elk hunting questions. Some of the topics I was able to address included:

  • Scouting
  • Early Rut (pre-rut) Hunting
  • Decoys
  • Travel Corridors
  • Using Elk Calls
  • Common Mistakes
  • Trail Cameras
  • Too Much Calling…
  • …And more!

I know many of you weren’t able to tune in live, but we saved the video and you can watch it now right here:

Corey, after scouting southern Idaho this past weekend with a hunting buddy, we are beginning to think in an OTC unit we may have to key in on hunters as much as the elk. Any thoughts? Thanks Dennis

  2. Garrett Crain says:

Corey, love the goatee! But I’m wondering if I need to grow one to be able to hunt elk like you do??

    Thanks,
    Garrett

  3. Loren Rowland says:

    Corey,
I forgot to clarify that this is an archery elk hunt! Thanks!

    Corey,
My 13 year old daughter and I will be hunting an over the counter unit in Colorado this fall. I am still undecided on the dates. In your opinion if we are looking for opportunities at any legal elk, especially for my daughter, what dates would you recommend? Thanks so much!

    Loren Rowland – South Dakota

  5. Keep in mind that this is a recording of a LIVE Q&A….typing your questions in this area won’t guarantee that they’ll be answered, and we’ve already drawn the winners for the elk call packages that were given away during the Q&A. But, there is still time to get in on the Elk Hunt Promotion (through July 12, 2017)! 🙂
