This is my first year running game cameras, so far what I have learned is that I need more to try to determine where the elk roam as they seem to be on a 3 day cycle where I am at.

I love using cameras, I usually end up seeing some nice deer or bear on the elk trail cam but Im always capturing the elk and pin point their pattern.

Yes, I run several cameras.  It changes scouting in a big way.

I run cameras for various animals and even took a couple on my elk hunt last fall. When scouting for deer I like to know what there and basically when they are moving as the season approaches. I use them some for feral hogs as well. It gets hot here and I like to have an idea what part of the day they are hitting a water hole so I can try to be more efficient.

When looking for trail cameras, I've found very good deals on eBay.  Be sure and read up as there are different features you may or may not want to pay for.
