Mt Lion Hunt
« on: February 11, 2020, 09:02:33 PM »
Hey Guys,

A good fiend of my just filled his tag on a Mt Lion hunt in Colorado today. Before he left I let him know I wanted all the meat I could get,  knowing he hadnt thought it was edible. Needless to say he is headed back to OK tomorrow with a cooler full of meat!

I do know the meat needs to be cooked to 165 to kill the trichinosis, and its allegedly a lot like pork. Ive got some recipes already churning in my head but wanted to get some additional ideas from folks that may have cooked it before.

Let me know!!!
Here is him and his cat.

Yep it is white meat and it does taste similar to pork but a little dryer. I've had it a couple of times.
