Nice Dan! :upthumb: Another way is to glue the buglers back in. Just a little something extra unless you want to pack em around in your pocket! :tease:

Agree with OTC Will. Here are four of them vacuum sealed with a coffee cup for size comparison. Found them at Wally World for $2 bucks after the season sale!

If you are covering 8-15 miles a day, chances are, you are moving the elk out ahead of you. Slow down and smell the roses! If that isn't the problem, maybe you should try a different area to hunt. And like Derek said, " Get a good vantage point and spend a lot of time behind your glass" ! And remember, finding sign only tells you where the elk have been, not necessarily where they are. It can be misleading. Learn how to read it.

Nothing is 100% for sure when it comes to elk hunting. But 9 times out of 10 where you find cows in August is where the bulls will be in September

Had a 300 Kawaski and a 500 Suzuki Vinson. Both good machines. The Vinson is a dream to ride as it is has a much better suspension. But the bigger the machine, the more tippy it is. I have to be a lot more careful on the bigger machine.

I used to be on Elk101 but somehow strayed away. But it's good to be back again. Thanks for the welcome Corey.

Dan is absolutely correct about Russ' chilli. Lets just say it has an explosive effect. LOL!

As for antelope recipes, I prefer 1 pound of ground antelope mixed with 1 can of Alpo! Maybe your dog will eat it and maybe he won't! LOL!

Antelope is has a very distinct taste. You either love it or you hate it.

I suppose I'm just an old tightwad! But I'm not in to the hi priced, brand name stuff. For me, anything in Max-1 camouflage gets my vote. It works well here in the mountains as well as on the hi desert country.

Actually, the elk don't really care much about your fashion statement. Movement or the lack of movement is what makes or breaks your encounter with them.

Here are a couple of knives I made. The one with the sheath is my using knife and the engraved one is my latest. both are made on the same Helle blade model.

I like Allen Game Bags. Here is a picture of 4 of them vacuum sealed. I put a coffee cup in the picture for size comparison.

I love my Helle, I replaced the handle with elk antler and made my own sheath. It can process several elk and deer on one sharpening.
