I paint up with carbo mask.  Comes off easily with wet wipe and doesnt clog pours.  With that said I have always done it and always will.  Probably dont need to its just part of my routine.

Hunting Gear / Re: Best Game Bags
« on: March 16, 2019, 11:51:03 AM »
Ive only used the caribou game bags.  They have worked great and are pretty durable.  Hauled out 3 elk and a deer with mine and all but one is still working great.  The one that has a couple small holes were definitely my fault.  With all that said I will bet that most companies these days that make reusable bags make good ones.  Probably cant go wrong

Bowtech realm x.  Last two bows were also bowtech but thats only a coincidence.  Im not a bowtech leg humper but Ill say it is my favorite bow so far.  Shot a few of the other big companies bows and they were all really nice too.  Got this one used, all setup and only about 6 months old.  Saved me a few hundred dollars.

Well those are a lot more money than my bx2 alpines so I would guess they are pretty badass.  I love mine even though they are a lower tier I cant say enough good things about them so far.

Ive had an agc for the last three years and it has been great.  Lots of extra room on the sides and up against your body for storage.  Its very comfortable during bow season and rifle season. Durability is top notch as well.  I dont baby my stuff and its held up great wit no rips, holes or fraying anywhere.  I have the cub w/o max pocket and it holds my 10x42 nice and snug with my rangefinder in the front pocket.  When I purchase a larger one itll be an agc as well.  Hope that helps

Nothing I can say on here that hasnt already been said.  I personally enjoy building my own so that I can tune weights by moving components around to bring my arrows as close as possible in overall weight to one another.  Squaring them up, making repairs and or adjustments without taking them in to the shop is in my opinion priceless.  Plus I know that each arrow was made with care.  Not something I can guarantee when another person does it.

Hunting Gear / Re: New pack
« on: January 05, 2019, 06:00:31 AM »
If you cant afford 6-700$ Id say go mystery ranch.  However if you can then Id suggest either a stone glacier, exo, or kifaru system.  With that said I cannot speak to the SG, or exo.  Ive only owned kifaru and the reason was very clear.  Customization is where this company shines.  The amount of different configurations you can run any bag you choose is endless.  This is why I chose them.  I hunt from the truck and only need a day pack for my hunting and so I bought the Apollo with no other attachments.  I used this pack for both bow season and rifle season and it worked great.  I packed two elk out with this pack this year.  One solo and one with my neighbor and it worked like I expected it to.  In the end half the fun is researching what YOU desire in a pack, and what configuration YOU like.  All three of those will do a great job no doubt, they are also expensive.  All I can say is Buy once cry once!  Good luck on your hunt
