HELLO ALL,

Up until this pint Ive only hunted CO for Elk during one Rifle season or anther.

shot a small bull the first year and cows the last two years. Im pretty confident ilL be able to find the elk

We live in coastal NC and last year my trip got cancelled due to hurricane Florence.

this year im Committing to Lemhi Zone for elk in Idaho.
Ive never stepped foot in Idaho but im Looking forward to spending 3 weeks in the hills chasing elk.  Ive heard unit 29 is some beautiful country and im Looking forward to it.  Ill also be bringing my rifle with me Incase i dont tag a bull the greefield tag applys for cow within 1 mile of a culitiaved feild.

Looking for any information on unit 29 within the Lemhi range, or other units within
Ive spoken to the biologist for the area Mike and he pointed me a few spots to look at down near Leadore

Curious if there are Grizzlys around in this unit and what the elk population is like.

Thanks in advance for any information
Zac

Ps anyone going to TAC IN JULY?

Im planning OTC archery elk in either ID or CO. Thinking of a scouting trip 2nd or 3rd week of August

How do you stash your water? And what type of container do you like?

Single pins for me on both my rigs.  I took a little of my wifes nail polish and put nice white dots on the post giving me 4 pins.  This allows me to have my dial set at 20 and gives me dots out to 50 yards without having to move the slider until 60 or more. I tested This setup in low light and not only is it easily visible but Ive found it to be just as accurate as using the fiber at those distances since it is pretty close.  Definitely not as good as having all fibers but a happy medium that Im satisfied with.

GREAT IDEA WITH THE NAIL POLISH.
