Elk101.com Newsletter – Major Announcements!

Where did the 2010 Elk Season go? It always flies by so quickly…the good news is that next season is less than 10 months away!

If you haven’t been by Elk101.com lately, we have some exciting features to introduce. We have officially launched the Elk101.com Chat Forum, a place for everyone to gather and share elk hunting stories, tactics, pictures, videos, and more! Additionally, within the Forum we have the 2010 Elk Hunting Story Contest submissions…be sure to stop by and vote for your favorite story! While you’re there, be sure to check out the FREE 2011 Hoyt Rampage XT we are giving away (just for checking out the Forums)! Both contests end on December 15th, so don’t delay!

We’re also very excited to announce a big renovation of the Elk101.com Store. We have expanded (and will continue to expand) our gear selection to bring you product from great companies like Sitka, Russell, Prois, First Lite, Badlands, Eberlestock, Havalon, Lowa, Kenetrek, Zamberlan, Bugling Bull, Mountain House, Montana Decoys, Heads Up Decoy, and much more! The Elk101.com Store is excited to become your source for all your western hunting needs!

Our 2010 Semi-Live Hunt Features were very popular this fall. If you didn’t get a chance to follow along, you can check them out on the Features page. There were some great hunts from the 2010 season including archery hunts in Idaho, Colorado, and Arizona, and the latest – a rifle hunt in Idaho with Pro Staff member Dirk Durham and his 13 year old son, Austin.

November’s Webisode is now live…check out Bugling Bull Game Calls owner, Rockie Jacobsen, as he and Kurt Howard chase bugling bulls in Idaho and Montana. December’s Webisode is going to be agreat one as well – an exciting rifle hunt for rutting bulls in Arizona. And based on your feedback, beginning in January we’ll have a fresh, new format for the Webisode series. Be sure to stay tuned for the upcoming elk hunting action!

2011 is going to be another exciting year at Elk101.com, and we’re grateful for your continued support. Our goal from the start was to provide elk hunting information for elk hunters, new and old. With weekly Featured Articles and Features beginning January 1, 2011, in addition to the other great resources we’ve rounded up, we hope to be able to enhance that goal! If there’s anything you’d like to see that you aren’t finding now, let us know and we’ll do our best to get it out there for you.

See you in the mountains,

Corey Jacobsen
