Now we hunt much farther northwest past Craig far enough out that most folks won't go there. We have been having good success more open country and scrub cedar.

My handle was RWainwright. Was a member of that forum for quite awhile. Remember when you got your moose. Used to hunt 171 up near willow creek pass. You were hunting over in 17. See that Phil is on this site as well as some others. Thought I'd check it out.

My Hoyt is only set at 75#but I use 300 gold tip velocity pros @ 30.5 with blazers and G5 strykers. They fly true as I can shoot.

Thanks fellas, counting the days now. Lookin our the window at the leaves turning down here on the front range and hopin it keeps snowin in the high country for the next couple of weeks. That always helps where we hunt.

Winds shift uphill in the morning and downhill in the afternoon here in Colorado. So understanding this it my be prudent to set up camp for the evening crosswind  and back as much as possible from any bedding areas.
