Shoot the setup thats tunes perfectly out of your bow.
For me with a 29 1/2 draw, 70#, its a 27 3/8 5mm 340 FMJ. Three Blazer vanes, standard insert and a 100 grain VPA vented head.
This has been a deadly combination for me for a few years now.
Good luck with your quest.

My collection starts with Winter 2012 and end with Fall 2015.
Id be happy to pay for copies and shipping if anyone has issues they want to sell.

Switched to the VPA heads this year. Only animal taken so far is a WT buck. Not much of a blood trail, but he only went 40 yards.
I like the idea that I can shoot a head, touch it up and hunt with the EXACT same head. Used to shoot the original Snuffer and had great luck with it. Out of a dozen heads, they all spin true on my FMJ arrows.
Have a set of 2x8 diamond stones that make sharpening a snap.
I believe Ive found my forever heads.

I use an old Marine issue sea bag. Still has my name stenciled on it. Been around for close to 40 years.

Sold my EXO K2 3500 this spring and bought a Eberlestock F1 Tall. Did some modifications to it, added batwings, scabbard and dry bag. Like that I can tune it for the hunt. Packs well and the Tall model has load lifters that work.

A cow only tag in Wyoming or a OTC 2nd season rifle in Colorado. Start checking out the states websites, not hard to find.

Start with paper tuning. Im betting you have too much weight up front.

All my bows have a NAP Carbon Apache rest on them, which you cant get anymore. If or when I ever need a new rest, Id look at a QAD.
